The Glory of God Pt1

The Glory of God…

“Be still and Know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”.
-Psalms 46:10
…
Have you seen the Glory of God?
Yes? No? even maybe?
Isaiah beckoned us to “Arise”, he said.
Why? This was because it was foretold that the Glory of God would be upon us.
How exciting!
Yet Uncertain…
Uncertain that we don’t fully grasp what “THE GLORY OF GOD” truly means.
If we did what human mouth would utter?
What human eye would gaze?
What human ear will eavesdrop?
What human mind would not behold in wonder?
The Glory of God.
The Great Prophets of Old but not forgotten,
Auctioned us to an imagery of how God’s Glory is, what it feels to be in his presence.
To Prophet Ezekiel,
In Chapter 1 describes it as “a whirlwind”, “a great cloud engulfing itself”,
“a radiating amber out of the midst of fire”, yet still you uphold yourself with pride?
In his presence? Does your speech not pause? Do goosebumps not awaken at his wonder?
If not, then that is not the presence of El-Shaddai.

At the wake of El-Shaddai,
Iron breaks,
Knots are untied,
The mortal man hides his face,
Screaming “I am not Worthy!”
Thus, El-Shaddai beckons man to arise, for His Glory shall be seen in us.
A wonder that many do not understand.
Who can carry the weight of God’s Glory.
No man.
That is why when Minster Dunsin Oyekan sings “Who is Like You Lord?”
It sends shivers down my spine, sinks into my soul, truly, who is like GOD?

No because who is like God?
One thing I am sure about is not you or me.
So, who?
No one.
